I'd guess it doesn't find some dlls. Like VS2010 redist stuff
Libraries: k2tools

If you happen to find a bug or need help, either post in the release threads or contact me in IRC gamesurge.net:6667 / #sourcepython

Everything in the _engines folder is what Python3.3 comes with. We have removed "some" of the unnecessary folders/files, but there are obviously others that aren't "needed". However, the issue with removing these files is that we have to remember which files we removed whenever we update the version of Python that we ship with SP. Each time there has been an update, we have also updated. Each time that has happened, we have had to go back through, prior to committing changes, to verify that we did not re-commit files that we removed in the past. This can definitely be a pain, so we try to keep it as simple as possible.

okay, but would these .exe and .bat files make source python unable to load? because for some reason i cannot load the addon and only thing it says is, it was unable to load..

Basicly im running latest code it runs fine on my computer that has vs 2010 and other stuff installed

however it's not able to load on my rented windows server..
Would it be possible for you to add some quick debug prints? to actually output why it's unable to load >_>

Hey Tuck,

To enable debug messages, you need to add the option -dev to your launching command line.

Instead of -dev, try -developer 2

Oh, I thought that maybe it changed on CSGO, was going to test ^^

EDIT: What if you type the following command in your server console once it is fully initialized?

Code: Select all

plugin_load source-python

Just make a python script to remove these files, so you don't have to renember which ones :P Or a shell script :D

Or simply add them to the blacklist via your repository client. So they are not commited.

how would i achieve this? i added it to the server.cfg but it got executed before server fully loaded

but srsly? why dont i see any debug >_> it seems like the .vdf path to .dll is wrong or something since it fails instantly without any errors?

the same output as i stated in prev post is the exact same popping up in both cases

I created a virtual machine to test what files the source python dll would be missing by standard

does the plugin require these two ? :

MSVCR100D.DLL
TIER0.DLL

(as in does it need these two to properly load)

is there a list somewhere of what i need to install for source python to fully work

i find it very ... well no error message is not usefull at all

i can't use "unable to load sp" to much, and not much help so i guess i have to install a virtual machine with a clean os install and debug what the heck i need to install >_>

Could some one add some debug messages or something because so far nothing changed the problem or helped on it >_> tried to install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package and 2012 nothing working

And i have no idea why there are no debugging messages at all seems very stupid to me ? a error where it basicly says "unable to load sp" without a reason is not useful.

the developer stuff u wanted me to add to run parameters didn't change the messages at all only added some advanced errors for the map..

This is not solved, would really help if somebody could just add some print messages or atleast tell me where i should add them.

Thanks in advance

it should setup a console.log file in your csgo folder. i had to do it with my server. and when i loaded the addons in the autoexec file i had to load them like this
sp load syphon;
sp load most_damage;
sp load cdr;

Not sure if that will help you

The problem was i had to build the solution as a Release so it did not reference to "MSVCR100D.dll" (Last D as in debug) but referenced to "MSVCR100.dll"

Then i had to install the package "Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x86)" (even if i had 64 bit system)

This fixed my problem, completly

Thanks to L'In20Cible and everyone else for solving this.
